MEK ELEK MACHINIST LAMP

An early example of a 'MEKELITE' bench mounted work lamp converted to a desk lamp. By MEK-ELEK of London. Circa 1930s.

Stripped and burnished steel and aluminium construction with unusual brass mount, complete with dark British racing green vitreous enamelled shade with white interior.

Mounted on heavy steel and aluminium parts salvaged from local industry.

Articulation at arm joints with additional rotation at turret base and shade carrier.

Supplied rewired with braided cable (+2m), chrome plated brass switched bayonet (B22) lamp holder and plug.
Tested for electrical safety.
