G.E.C. MIRRORED PENDANT LIGHT

A rare mirrored pendant light by General Electric Company (GEC). Made in England. Circa 1920.

These iconic and imposing hexagonal domed reflector lamps were used in aircraft hangers and other RAF buildings. Steel and cast iron construction with mirrored glass sections. There are areas of paint loss, oxidation and worn original paint creating a rich patinated finish. All 42 glass sections are original with some foxing.

We have also included a reeded glass cylinder light shade which is a subtle nod to the large high powered light bulbs that would have been used originally. The glass shade also helps to diffuse the light and adds to the wonderful kaleidoscopic effect.

Supplied rewired with 2.5m of black braided cable, a new aged solid brass E27 lamp holder, 2m of aged welded steel hanging chain and ceiling hook.
