Skid Plank Triptych Wall Art

A stunning set of 3 race used skid planks from the Manor F1™ race team.

Mounted on heavy gauge galvanised steel frames that are designed so that the planks can be hung vertically or horizontally and in either direction.

One is marked 'CAR #31 QUAL JAPAN' so we can accurately attribute this to Esteban Ocon at the 2016 Japanese Grand Prix.

The skid block, often referred to as the ‘plank’, is a crucial part of the F1™ car’s underfloor. It was designed to regulate ride height and prevent excessive contact with the track and was first introduced to the sport in 1994. Typically made from a high-density wood laminate called Jabroc, the plank runs along the central section of the floor and serves as a wear indicator. If the wear is beyond the FIA’s legal limit, the car can be disqualified for running too low and gaining an advantage.

Each plank measures:
Length:  100cm
Width:  30cm
Weight:  5.8kg

Priced and sold as a set of 3.
